Production Devices- Located in El Cajon, CA. has manufactured Lead Forming Tools & Circuit Testers for Electronic Production, since 1965 A little history on the Lead forming tools... In 1965, the owner Richard Press, was then working for another company which he had several assemblers he was working with. He invented the 801 Lead Bender tool (Speedy Bender) that formed 1/4 & 1/2 watt resistors to help the assemblers. He went on to getting a patent for it and received his first order of 500ea from Mouser Electronics when they were in Santee Ca. He then went on to developed the Model 901, 1w & 2w, and later the Model 802, 1/8w. From there Production Devices was started and continued to Mfg small hand-held audio sweep generators, and the audio circuit probe model 105 that is still manufactured today.
